Community Building

We've had a great time building community in our advising. In addition to campout we've gone to Peninsula Park, and played games. We have had several riveting games of scrabble, charades, zombie tag, and checkers.

To those of you new to our school, know that the rest of the year may look more structured. Campout, Fun Fridays, and bowling have been great opportunities for our students to build strong friendships and camaraderie in our advising.

Thank you to all the volunteers who made campout happen. Drivers, chaperones, cooks, and superheros.

Remember, white non-viable nits are representations of HATCHED EGGS. Brown, or viable nits, are still live lice. Remember they are small. Smaller than the one on 1989 pennies. VERY SMALL. The above picture is from the CDC.

Sadly, Lice have broke out in our school. We have lice. All of us. Even me.

If we don't have lice. We'll have to work to make sure we don't get it. Please please check your students every night. Use lice combs even if you haven't found lice yet. Please please keep checking.

Letter to Middle School Parents

Letter to middle school parents from Sarah Parnell for Trillium middle school families:
Dear Middle School Parent:

My name is Sarah Parnell and I am your child's math teacher for this year. I am very excited about the math program and working with the students this year!

I wanted to inform you of two things. First, I have a blog where I post what we have been learning in each course, what the homework is for each course, and if there are any tests or quizzes coming up. Secondly, I am opening up my classroom after school on Thursdays until 3:45 for any student who might want some additional help on homework, in studying for a quiz or test, or just who may want to practice some basic math skills. This will begin on Thursday, October 14 (after the campout).
